ARTISTS
MATT COX
Matt Cox was born in Los Angeles, California. He began painting in his early childhood, and encountered the world of tattoo in Osaka, Japan during a trip. He then returned to Osaka, to begin tattoo training. He currently resides in Hawaii as a tattoo artist, specializing in custom designs and ranging from black and white to color.
MATTE HANSON
Matte Hanson is a tattoo artist at Chopstick tattoo that has been tattooing since 2015, Specializing in black work/dot work tattoos that tend to draw inspiration from the macabre and the occult, as well as folklore from numerous cultural backgrounds. His artwork generally has darker overtones as he has a deep fascination with all things deemed unsettling, spooky, or evil. Aside from his preferred style of tattooing and artwork, he is also familiar with the American traditional style of tattoo, and dabbles with ornamental and floral designs from time to time. He enjoys beer, black metal, and playing his banjo in his free time.
